How do you Test & Grade my console?

How do you grade my console?

We grade your console by how it looks and whether everything works.

Grade What it looks like
A - Excellent No signs of use. No marks on the covers or body, no discolouration.
B - Good Light signs of use, such as micro-scratches, that you can't see from about 50cm away. No cracks or dents.
C - Average Visible scuffs, scratches, dents or discolouration, or missing feet. Everything still works.
D - Faulty Any fault with the console itself, such as no picture, disc drive not reading, damaged ports, overheating, or Wi-Fi or Bluetooth not working.

Do I need to send a controller?

Yes. Your price includes one working original or official controller. Third-party controllers don't count. If we don't receive one, or it's damaged or doesn't work, we deduct £75 from your price.

How long will testing take?

We aim to test your console within 48 hours of receiving it (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays). We'll let you know as soon as it's done.

What if the condition doesn't match what I selected?

We'll send you a revised offer explaining why. You can accept it and be paid, or decline it and have your console returned. Return postage is £10.75 by Royal Mail Standard Delivery (covered up to £150) or £25.00 by Royal Mail Special Delivery (covered up to £750).

Are there consoles you can't buy?

Yes. A small number of consoles can't be bought:

Reason What it means What happens
No power The console doesn't turn on £0 offer. We can return it for a return fee
Console banned Sony has banned the console itself from PlayStation Network £0 offer. We can return it for a return fee
Reported stolen The console is reported stolen on CheckMEND, or the police have asked us to hold it We hold it for 28 days while it's investigated
Identity check failed The serial number on the console doesn't match the one in its system software £0 offer. We can return it for a return fee
Tampered or jailbroken The console has been modified or runs unofficial software £0 offer. We can return it for a return fee
